Quality Control

Quality Control Checklist for Custom Plush Production

Quality control is most useful when expectations are defined before production. The approved sample, written specification and destination requirements should establish what will be checked and how acceptable variation is understood.

01

Use the approved sample as a reference

Keep the approved sample connected to the latest specification and artwork. If a feature changed after approval, document it clearly. Photographs alone may not communicate material feel, filling density or acceptable construction variation.

02

Check dimensions, shape and materials

Define key dimensions and practical tolerances. Review silhouette, symmetry, balance, fabric colour and texture, filling distribution and any internal support. The most important measurements depend on the product structure.

  • Overall height, width and depth
  • Character proportions and balance
  • Fabric, colour and pile direction
  • Filling and hand feel

03

Review decoration and construction

Check embroidery or print placement against approved references. Review seams, loose threads, openings, attachments, hardware and functional parts. Small details should be evaluated for both appearance and intended use.

04

Confirm labels, packaging and cartons

Verify label content and placement, hangtags, barcode information, packaging fit, sealing and carton markings. Packing method should protect shape and presentation during the planned shipping route.

05

Align inspection and market requirements

Agree on inspection scope and acceptance criteria before production. The buyer should identify destination, intended age group and applicable testing or labeling requirements. Avoid treating a general certification statement as a substitute for product-specific compliance review.
